Technology Director – Houston

Responsibilities:

Formulates/defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering the project capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Will participate in vendor interface. Has responsibility for profit and loss. Has good understanding of the business or function for which applications is designed. Instructs, directs, and checks the work of other personnel. Responsible for quality assurance review. Responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members. May be responsible for project completion and user satisfaction. Participates in customer interface. Works closely with sales to support customer. Handles special projects, as assigned.

Skill Requirements:

Strong leadership/ management skills. Competent to work in most phases of applications and systems analysis. Participates in the analysis and research and development efforts of the area. Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by the department. Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or Earth Sciences. 12+ years related experience with 3 of those years in managerial positions .
