Responsibilities:

May work in any of the following disciplines: Quality, Software, Mechanical, R&D, Petroleum, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or Reservoir. Sells product/solution value. Projects are of significant size and complexity incorporating product development, multiple enhancements, product application, and influence on related product lines. Responsible for technical discussions, 1st installs, resolving multiple product issues. Has significant impact on product design, cost, performance, and manufacturing methods/standardization, customer solutions, warranty cost minimization, and patent analysis and submission. Assignments are outlined in terms of general objectives. Plans and conducts assignments, generally involving larger and more complex projects or multiple projects. May lead or direct projects. Assists with the review and evaluation of personnel performance. May act as a liaison to other departments. Evaluates progress and results and recommends major changes in procedures. Operates with considerable latitude in making autonomous decisions. Coaches less experienced engineers. Formulates goals, forecasts personnel requisitions, prepares budgets, monitors project cost. Handles special projects, as assigned. Directs mentoring and training activities. Provides work direction and mentoring for less experienced engineers and technicians. Provides formal and informal training internally and externally. Sphere of influence includes regional operations and customers in addition to engineering groups, support organizations, vendors, and joint ventures product development and commercialization. Handle special projects as assigned.

Good organizing, planning, and presentation skills. Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and customer focused with a drive for results. Education/Experience:


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 8+ years experience or Master's Degree in Engineering with 5+ years experience or PhD in Engineering with 2+ years experience.
