PURPOSE:
Perform and/or conduct repairs, scheduled & preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of complex equipment and processes in Custom Pak Production.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 6 months of community college or vocational training in mechanical, electrical and/or general maintenance.
EXPERIENCE:
Seven (7) years experience with mechanical or electrical background with six (6) years in industrial automation/manufacturing monitoring and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) ladder code. Proficient with Microsoft XP operating system and Office software.
Alternative Combination: Five (5) years experience with PLC controllers with two (2) years college or Associate Degree.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.Demonstrate solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic principals as it relates to a various industrial manufacturing equipment.
2.Use advanced skills to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of Custom Pak Production equipment.
3.Perform all maintenance and repair services as required on industrial automation and manufacturing devices (motors, switches, valves, etc.), using sound practices (wiring, machine and component assembly, basic mechanical fabrication techniques).
4.Develop preventative maintenance inspections and perform service as required, documenting all work performed.
5.Demonstrate excellent understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) ladder logic code and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues in a manufacturing environment.
6.Establish required service and maintenance schedules on Custom Pak Production and test equipment and systems.
7.Use solid understanding of: A) Mechanical assembly and machining detail drawings B) Electrical power distribution, panel layout and I/O control drawings, and C) Pneumatic logic schematics to perform required tasks.
8.Use solid understanding of GMPs, record-keeping and verbal communication skills to maintain total compliance and quality standards on all Custom Pak Production equipment and systems.
9.Coordinate with contractors (if required) and Custom Pak Engineers on equipment installation, repairs and modification projects.
